TVO Mission Statement

Tennessee Valley Outreach (TVO) exists to provide safe, clean, temporary living quarters, wholesome food, and spiritual refreshment for men and women in a four-county area — Morgan, Lawrence, Limestone, and Cullman — who are displaced and mentally or economically disadvantaged. They must be capable of taking care of their daily needs and abiding by a Code of Conduct (House Rules).

Founded in the 1970s by Bobby and Shirley Crawford to serve homeless people, TVO incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1981 and has been at its present location, 2117 Old Moulton Heights Road, Decatur, Alabama since then.

TVO's vision is to serve as a preparation tool for those who want to re-enter society as a self-supporing person living in his/her own lodgings. This will be accomplished by offering a supportive environment that encourages independence, spiritual growth, personal discipline and responsibility. We look forward to hearing from you!
