TVO’s SIXTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Participants, again, proclaimed TVO’s annual golf tournament, “The Best!” And board members agreed. You saw the front page of The Decatur Daily, showing Bill Bagby in front of the Lynn Layton 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt he won, with his hole-in-one ,on Hole #12, didn’t you? This prize was furnished by Lynn Layton for the sixth year!
Board Member, David Matherly, and photographer, Tina Davis, were located on Hole 12. They witnessed the "hole-in-one" as it rolled into the hole. Their photo is on the right.
We had lots of compliments on the prizes, the food, the goody bags and the hospitality of board members and Jim Settles of Burningtree Country Club. And this year, for the first time in a long time, the weather was perfect.
One of our former residents took his vacation so he could volunteer. Actually, he has volunteered at all of our tournaments, but this time, he’s a long-haul truck driver so it took a little more planning. His photo is shown at left.
